It works very well in big bore rifles( 444 marlin, 45-70, 470 Nitro Express), and performs just as well in everything from 30-30 to 30-06 with velocities from 800fps to 2800fps. It does very well for 38 spl and 45 Colt Cowboy loads at very low velocities(500fps), and still gives excellent groups and clean barrels in the 454 Casull or 500S&W. This is a stiffer version of the standard NRA 50-50 formula, This is slightly stiffer then BAC but does not need a heater. You can use it anywhere you would use regular 50-50, but it is not as soft. Eliminates leading. May require a little heat in a cold room. I don't need a heater for my Lyman 450, but others have said they need a little heat.
