Description: MY PRICES ARE LOWER THAN OTHER EXPERIENCED REBUILDERS BECAUSE I AM NOW 82 YEARS OLD, HAVE NO OVERHEAD AND THIS NEEDS A NEW HOME! This is a generator REBUILT by me. I have over 60 years experience rebuilding alternators, generators and starters. It has been completely disassembled, cleaned and tested. The armature has been turned and under cut and checked on the growler for shorts. It has new sealed bearings (does not need oiling), new brushes, reassembled and tested on my test bench. It tests at 12 amps and 7 volts POSITIVE GROUND output.This generator design is correct from October 1928 until March 1930, it uses the stamped steel end plates, long taper pulley and the output post is located at the pulley end of the generator.(item 2948) I have been rebuilding generators and starters since September 1960. I can remember thinking at that time “I sure hope I don’t have to do this for the rest of my life”. Well… that was over 50 years ago and 10’s of thousands of rebuilds later. Only now I am enjoying doing these units and selling them on EBAY. My specialty has always been the “odd balls” as my former boss called them. The Antique - Classic - and Industrial Units. You name it and I have probably rebuilt one in my lifetime. Now I am meeting not only my customers but other guys my age who have the same history as I do here on Ebay.
