Description: Note: Please study the images carefully to determine the condition of this vintage photograph, as it may not be in perfect condition. It may contain wrinkles, cracks, and possibly even tears due to its age and how it was handled before it got to us. A scanner may interpret colors and contrast differently than human eyes will, so it is possible that the actual photograph may be slightly darker or lighter in person. This vintage photograph is offered for sale as a collectible item and conveys no transfer of copyright. 1964 Press Photo Partially dismantled house of Martin Roach in Newton, Mass. This is an original press photo. Martin Roach of Newton, Massachusetts, acquired this house when it was to be removed for a highway project and had it moved to this site. Roach inadvertently had it placed partly on right-of-way property owned by the state Department of Public Works. He was ordered to remove it, but didn't move fast enough. A crew of workmen sawed off the trespassing section and put up a fence enclosing the state land. Now the Newton Board of Aldermen have decided the chopped off house is an eyesore and a fire hazard and ordered Roach to remove the rest of the house. Photo measures 10 x 8inches. Photo is dated 5-21-1964. PHOTO FRONT PHOTO BACK Historic Images Part Number: afa16037 Sell Smarter with Kyozou.Inventory and Ecommerce Management
