Description: #6 PELTIER MARBLE HYBRID RAINBO BLENDED SPIDERMAN BURNT COLORS .61" NM+/- MX125 Peltier Rainbos, the descendants of the National Line Rainbos (NLR), appear to have been first manufactured in the late 1930s and throughout the following decade. Like their predecessors (NLR), these marbles have two seams. They may have a base glass that is either opaque or transparent, and usually one or two ribbons that encircle the marble, usually near the center. Unlike on the National Line Rainbos, the ribbons on Rainbos often go into the base glass, whereas on the former they lie on and perhaps just underneath the surface. I DO MY BEST TO ACCURATELY IDENTIFY ALL MARBLES, BUT EVEN SELF-PROCLAIMED MARBLE EXPERTS SAY THEY ARE UNSURE OF WHAT TYPE A MARBLE IS AT TIMES "+/-" means more or less Mint: A marble that is in original condition.The surface is unmarked and undamaged. There may be some minor rubbing on the surface, however, the marble is the way it came from the factory Near Mint: A marble that has seen minor usage. There may be evidence of hit marks, usually tiny to small subsurface moons, pinprick chips, tiny to small flakes or tiny to small bruises. The damage does not detract from viewing the marble. If there is noticeable damage, then it is on only one side of the marble and the other side is Mint. Good: A marble that has seen usage. It will have numerous hit marks, subsurface moons, chips, flakes or bruises. The core can still be seen clearly, but the marble has obviously been used. If the damage is large or deep, then it is confined to one side and the other side is Mint to Near Mint. Collectible: A marble that has seen significant usage. Overall moons, chips, flakes, and bruises. The core is completely obscured in some spots. A Collectible marble has served its functional purpose and been well used.
