This listing is showing all of the parts that you would need to create your own aluminum tambour door unit that would fit a 24" wide x 24" tall opening or smaller. You will need to cut all of the parts to fit your existing cabinet opening. The cabinet box is not included so if you do not have an existing opening, you would need to build your own cabinet box first. The concept is very simple for these, all of the parts will just simply fit into a an open box. Mainly a frameless type cabinet box is usually used, however, this system can be also installed behind a cabinet face frame as well or really any custom installation that you can dream up. These are used in RV's, Custom Trailers, Store Fixtures, Boats, Bathrooms, etc...etc... The parts that are included with your tambour door purchase include: tambour door slats, tambour slat gliders, combo grip bottom handle, combo grip gliders, top cover profile, straight aluminum track, 4ea 90° track corners, matching track cover and an adhesive tape for the back of the door. We usually are asked more information about the slat gliders. The gliders that are provided simply snap into the ends of all of these tambour slats as well as the combo grip bottom handle. These "gliders" provide smooth operation & also protect the tracks from waring down. Also refer to our pictures to see most of these parts. Basically, you would need to start by cutting all of the slats to size, slide them onto each other to build up the height of your door, then cut and add the bottom combo grip handle, then the adhesive tape goes on the back to hold it all together and keep this slats from sliding back and forth during operation. The next step would be to cut the tambour track and the matching track cover to size. Please refer to our pictures that will show the configuration layout of these parts. The parts are made of aluminum and plastic so some tools that are recommended for cutting would be a power miter saw with a carbide tip blade. Usually a blade that is used for doing wood molding work would work OK otherwise there are specific blades you can purchase that are specifically made to cut aluminum. Other methods would include using a hack saw and a hand miter box or a band saw. For any of these methods we highly recommend that you follow all of the safety protocols laid out from the manufacturer about the operation of your tool. Safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, thick clothing and gloves would also be recommended when cutting. We will include the instructions with your purchase as an attachment. These instructions will show you how to cut the tambour slats to size and fabricate all of the parts for your door. These parts are kept in stock and it does take about 1 business week before we ship these out. The parts are cut down per order for shipping purposes and shipped by UPS ground. Custom sizes are available so if you require a different size, please feel free to request a quotation from us and we can send you a quote for the parts needed. You can also request a quotation for a fabricated unit. We would need the exact width, height and depth of your cabinet opening where the door is going to be installed into, then we would be able to provide you with the door and track parts all cut to size.
