Description: HTF OOP 1996 edition ANCIENT MINCHIATE ETRURIA FIRENZE 1725 TAROT, printed in Italy and published by LO SCARABEO. This deck was purchased by a collector at the time of its release and is guaranteed to be authentic and original. It was not used for readings but was purchased for study purposes only. The deck was never shuffled. The original storage box was cut and the collector retained only the box top, which is pictured. The date is shown on the title card from the deck (see photos). A cream-colored viscose drawstring bag is included to secure the cards. The cards are straight and true, with no creases, folds or bends. From a smoke-free home. The artwork in this deck utilizes a great subtlety of shading, with light brushstrokes, and the colors are the lightest shades of pastels, greens, golds and very subdued reds. This seller found online that others are offering digitized versions of the deck and/or cheap reproduction copies, and it is very hard to imagine how it would even be possible to reproduce this 18th century artwork in those manners. Trust Lo Scarabeo to have done it right, not false reproductions! This unusual interpretation of the tarot has 40 Trump cards, rather than the usual 21 or 22, and incorporates zodiacal themes.
