This Aesthetic Movement piece was probably made by Gorham or John Wendt, it is definitely reminiscent of their work. The pierced ladle could be used as a berry strainer or oyster serving ladle. The handle is done in Seal Top pattern and the top is finely hand engraved with a Gothic/Victorian script monogram of the letter F. The shell shaped or scalloped bowl has a fine gold wash.
