Description: Exceptional quality in rarely found solid rosewood hand carved cheval floor mirror, circa the 1830s from France. Original diamond dust mirror glass, extensively carved embellishments, uprights, and base with original wooden casters. Wonderful cuts of striped rosewood on back. Original dore' bronze candleholders now drop in brackets. The base was just professionally re-glued and tightened. Not pictured are 2 wooden bolt covers. Mirror appears to have originally had finials and crown but was not included with it when we acquired it in 1981. Such a rare quality mirror. This is just back in our shop from our original buyer from 1983 in NY along with a number of other exquisite pieces from his now downsized home. We will help arrange the best/lowest cost white glove inside shipping, likely Uship. 2 original bolts attach mirror to frame. We're celebrating our 49th year as one on NY's and now sunny FL's trendsetting French antiques importer since 1972 and an Ebayer since 1998. Thanks for looking!
