Description: Antique Chamber pot with lid and two matching side pieces. The maker's mark on the bottom is The Mercer Pottery Company of Trenton, NJ, which is a former American pottery company. It was in operation from 1865 to 1946. The pattern is pink roses with gold band trim all over. This is semi-vitreous china and is considered very durable. Probaby why they lasted so well all these years. These pieces are in very good condition with no nicks, chips or cracks. There is some slight crazing on the lid but it is not noticable at all. There are also some stain marks in the bottoms of the pieces which is an indication they were most likely used - a lot! They are in very good condition for their age. The larger piece measures 9 inches wide, and 5 inches high. The smaller side piece with handle measures 4 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches tall. The shallow dish measures 4 1/2 inches high and 2 inches wide. These pieces are heavy and weigh 6.5 lbs. These pieces can be used in a variety of ways. The pot could hold hand towels for instance or pot a plant in it and the side pieces could be used for other vanity items. Or they could simply be used for display. Very nice antique pieces to add to your collection at a fantastic price. Asking $75. These items have some weight so I prefer local pick-up. I will box them and wrap with bubblewrap for buyer to take home. There is no return available on these pieces.
