Description: Complete 8 bottle set of antique glass motor oil bottles. Several different lables, Amoco is on a few, hard to fully make out. I cleaned them of old oil, but certainly could be cleaned up better for display. The carrier and tin tops are in original condition, one tin top is bent, but i did not try to bend it back in shape, you may be able to, see picture. There is small damage to the bottom of one glass bottle, see in picture, but I did not even realize it was there until after i had cleaned the bottles, it is so unnoticeable. One of the bottles has, I believe it is a tin tube attached to the tin top to vent air as the oil is poured, see picture. Some have rubber washers still in the tops, in terrible condition, as you would expect for rubber of this age. I believe they are called rubber washers. Notice some are a very unique shape, and many indicate the state they were made in! Also a logo is present on some of the tin tops, a couple you can make out well, that is very cool and detailed, zoom in to tin tops on their pictures. All in all a perfect addition to your collection if you are a auto enthusiast or own your own car service business and like things to display! This item gives me the feel of a hard working American shop that wasnt always concerned if their bottles matched, or if they got a little dirty during the work day, just as long as they did the job well.
