This make is a bit under-rated, and they tend to be a good value for the quality you receive. Danmore was founded by Hans Sørensen in the early 1970s, and produced pipes from that time until the early 1980s, at one point having up to 30 employees. The pipes were sold in the first Dan Pipe catalog. The pipes show excellent craftsmanship, and many tend to have nice upscale features, like real horn ferrules, etc. This pipe has a smooth finish, shape of 122. It has the stamp CHERRY on the right of the shank. The bowl shows off some nice birdseye and flame cross-grain too. Condition of the bowl exterior is excellent, just light normal use to inner rim, that’s about it, and no issues. The interior is well-seasoned, and the draw-hole is bottom center, and it draws well. It’s got an oval shank that leads to the well-cut saddle stem. The stem is original, has the “d” logo on the top, with no tooth marks, in excellent shape. It weighs in about 1.2 ounces.
