These peppers are among the hottest in the world. We currently offer the Carolina Reaper, the hottest stable pepper in the world, along with the second hottest Trinidad Scorpion, and the infamous Ghost Pepper. New this year, we have added options for the Dragon's Breath, which is currently unstable, but could soon surpass the Carolina Reaper in heat. Hot peppers are our specialty here at Sweetwater Farms in Chapmansboro, TN. We grow many varieties and use them both fresh and dried. All peppers in this listing were grown, dehydrated and packaged by us right here on the farm. All were grown using organic practices with no pesticides used on them at any time. Descriptions of each variety we have available are posted below. Most varieties come in 1oz and 2oz options. Some are available in 4oz sizes. We will customize orders if possible. If you would like another size please contact us and we can set up a buying option just for you if we have enough peppers in stock to fit your needs. We will mark it as (Sold Out) in the description below if it is completely sold out for the season in all of our stores. Dried peppers are great for adding spice and flavor to any recipe. They can be ground into a powder for use in a seasoning or rub, or reconstituted with water. Drying brings out the flavor of these peppers which is usually hidden behind the fire. These peppers are HOT! Do not underestimate them and be sure to wash your hands well after handling, or use gloves. They also pack a tremendous amount of citrus flavor that you are sure to love when added to your favorite food. These peppers were all harvested and freshly dried. We package them per order so you get the freshest peppers possible. The peppers come vacuum-sealed in a plastic bag to keep them fresh. We recommend opening them within a month of receiving them. Once opened, use within one month. Store any unused peppers in an airtight container such as a canning jar to increase storage life. The pictures above are of our actual peppers after drying and freshly picked. We package the peppers whole, but be aware that some of the peppers may not be completely intact due to the packaging and shipping process. Seeds are included. Discard the seeds to reduce the heat. VARIETY DESCRIPTIONS: Carolina Reaper The hottest stable pepper in the world is here at Sweetwater Farms! We began growing the Carolina Reaper several years ago and can attest to the fact that they are truly the hottest peppers around! Reapers can reach 2,200,000 Scoville units of heat, which is 200 times hotter than a Jalapeno! Drying brings out the flavor that otherwise goes unnoticed beneath all the heat. Use their flavor and heat to bring your favorite recipes up a few notches. Discard the seeds to take a little of the edge off the heat. The two ounce bag contains 70-80 peppers. (Sold Out) Dragon's BreathA newcomer to the super hot block, the Dragon's Breath is possibly (and likely) the hottest pepper to ever be readily available to the public (behind the privately-owned Pepper X), even hotter than the Carolina Reaper! The pepper is still very new and the strain is still quite unstable, producing a wider range of heat levels, and multiple shapes and colors. We are seeing all sorts of shapes from long like a Ghost to blunt with a tail like a Reaper, and all sorts of colors. We produced red, yellow, orange and shades of peach on our farm this season. Your bag will contain a mix of shapes and colors. The heat of the Dragon's Breath ranges from 1,700,000 to 2,480,000 Scoville units of heat! If the strain stabilizes anywhere near the 2,480,000 units it will surpass the Carolina Reaper. But it cannot take that title until it stabilizes. Give this new pepper a try if you dare, but beware it has the potential to be the hottest thing your mouth has ever encountered! Ghost (Bhut Jolokia) Dried bag of ghost peppers for those that like it hot! Drying the peppers brings out more of the citrus flavor that comes from their Habanero background and also concentrates the heat. Discard the seeds to cool them down a bit.
