Description: Offered for sale is an antique Empire multi-blade gentleman's pocket knife, made in Winsted, Connecticut USA probably circa 1920-1930. The Empire Knife Company was in business from 1856 to 1930. This knife features a stainless steel spear point blade, a bottle opener and screw-driver, a cork screw, a manicure blade, sterling silver handle scales with an engine-turned pattern and a blank cartouche on one side, and a small fob on one end. The Sterling handle scales were made by silversmith R. Blackinton Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts. Length closed is 3-1/4". The blade is tang stamped "Empire, Stainless" and the fob is stamped "Sterling" and has hallmarks of the R. Blackinton Co. The knife is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of very light use and carry. The blades appear to be at least 99% intact. All blades "walk and talk". This knife is very well made, and will provide many more years of service with proper care.
