Description: Vintage handmade and hand sewn patchwork quilt made in the 1970s in "like new" condition. It is rare to find a vintage quilt in this shape. It is a very large quilt and measures 101" x 86". For your reference, the bed in the pictures is a king size bed. So, on a queen size bed this should cover the entire top and hang a bit on each side. This quilt is reversible with a multi-color patchwork pattern on one side, and a white background with a floral pattern of blue, red, and orange on the other side. This is a lighter quilt--great for topping a multilayered bed, or for use in the summer!This quilt has been washed only once. Retro Clean easy detergent was used to remove a bit of browning from sitting around in a armoire for a few decades. The quilt now looks brand new! These quilts were made by my grandmother Carra (pronounced "Cahr-ee") in the 60s and 70s in North Carolina. She hand stitched all parts of each quilt. They were stored in an antique armoire until we recently discovered them after she passed away. We are hoping that this heirloom quilt will be perfect for you and your family and will be passed down from generation to generation.We will gently pack and ship in the Continental United States.
