Description: This set of four handmade nutcrackers is a truly unique collection. Featuring intricate handmade, unique, random details. Each doll stands on matching platforms at 15 inches tall. Each doll represents a different member of the Russian “Nutcracker” Court. The set includes their matching four removable, velvet capes. Each matching, golden-color painted square base measures 3.5 inches wide by 3 inches length. But their shoulders (being the widest points) measures to about 4 inches. All dolls have mechanical jaws for cracking nuts, however these have NEVER been used for that action! These dolls are basically in perfect condition, however one doll has lost a few sequins, but it is minimal and hardly noticeable to admirers. (See pictures) Each doll is made with a variety of materials including golden-threaded rickrack, faux fur, wood, velvet, rhinestone, and sequins, and is custom hand-painted with its’ own unique and decorative design. The nutcrackers have working, mechanical, wooden jaw-action. Each doll was chosen for purchase by me (but packaged separately) in the United States in the 1990s. They were originally sold in minimal, soft, discardable boxes (containing little information) which I immediately disposed of upon purchase in the ‘90’s. Each doll was sold separately, so the four dolls are now a set of four chosen by me when I was given the store’s generous display option at that time. They have been carefully displayed in my home, annually for Christmas, and have been lovingly stored, kept clean, and appreciated by the same owner since. My wish is for this set to make for a wonderful holiday decoration and/or display piece set for another owner who can also lovingly appreciate and care for them.
