Description: Please see all the pictures and item specifics. Rocky Mountain Pottery Company (ROMCO) was founded by Leland Huston in 1953 in Denver, Colorado. The company moved to Loveland, Colorado in 1957. ROMCO's first pottery pieces were produced to resemble wood grain and included a pine scent. Many pottery designs were produced, but its most popular lines included the hand-painted pinecones. The company employed 35-40 people and had daily factory tours as it was tourist attraction due to its proximity to Colorado Springs. The company closed for good in 1986. This set comes with the coffee or tea pot with lid, a stand for the pot, a serving tray, three cups and luncheon plates. It has the modern design popular with mid-century collectors. There are no chips or cracks in any of the pieces. There are streaks of crazing on all the pieces which is a good indication of age. There is one area of popped glaze on one leg of the stand that is about 1/8" in diameter which can be seen in the seventh picture. Scale in the pictures for size. Please see the shipping options for your preference. Total weight of all the pieces is under eight pounds, but packaging will add to the weight for safe delivery.
