The urban fabric is striking, with rivers, topography, and significant landmarks and buildings identified. The map was created by Wagner & Debes and published by Leipzig Geograph.Anst. for use by Baedekers Guides, the notable German map publisher. It measures 6x8" and is in tinted color. The map is an original map and is not reproduced, but removed from a damaged guidebook. Herculaneum was a nearby city buried by Mt Vesuvius' eruption in year 76. On the Golf of Naples, it is a popular archeological tourist attraction. Honor your ancestors, friends, travel and romantic memories, bucket list, and history. The size fits nicely onto a standard 8"x10" frame, with adequate space for a matted frame. These compact maps with mesmerizing detail fit nicely into tight spaces such as powder rooms, nooks and crannies, and hallways, or grouped together with other significant destinations. This map is shipped first class mail, paid by me, in order to keep your cost as low as possible. I've shipped many paper items first class mail over the years with no problems or complaints. It's what the USPS knows best! The map was originally folded into a travel book, and existed there for nearly a century, and in order to qualify for the best shipping first class rate it will be refolded into its original presentation. First class mail offers no tracking, but as mentioned, no one has complained about the time for delivery, normally well within a week. If you require expedited shipping, please advise, and I will let you know the additional charge (typically about $10). As an added bonus with your first class mailing, I will likely be utilizing vintage stamps (unused, still acceptable, but only at face value) that may almost cover the envelope (over a dozen stamps).
