Description: Nippon Hand Painted Floral Red Green Pink Cobalt & Gold Beaded 10 3/4 Inch Bowl Nice antique Japanese porcelain bowl. Decorated with hand painted flowers in purple, pink, blue, and yellow over white framed in gold scrollwork and gold beading. With hand painted flowers framed in gold scrollwork and beading inside a pale green panel with gold lattice/net overlay alternating with gold and crimson red medallions over green panels with gold scrolls. Each panel is framed in gold gilding and beading. Has a band with gold scrollwork over pink panels alternating with light and darker green panels with gold medallions over the darker green. Has an ivory and cobalt border with gold scrollwork. Gold gilding along the edge. Has an impressed Japanese mark on the base. Probably made during the Nippon era of Japanese porcelain. Circa 1891 to 1921. Has some wear to the gilding and an in manufacture repair to small in manufacture firing separation, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 10 3/4 inches wide x 2 1/2 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
