There are plenty of articles online for breaking in a leather holster.I get many messages about the thumb snap (if applicable). The thumb snap is difficult to get snapped on many holsters when you first get it. You have to work leather. Bottom line, if you get it and it is not fitting the high percentage of time is that you have not seated it fully or worked it fully. LEATHER HOLSTERS: One of the common messages I get is about how tight a leather holster is when you first get it. You have to break in a leather holster. Some holster makers are able to get close to perfection, but you usually pay 3-digit prices for those. One method I enjoy is wrapping the pistol, unloaded, in a plastic wrap or bag and stuffing(actually pushing)that into the holsterleaving it inovernight or for a few days.IF you are not prepared for your ccw carry gun to have nicks and marks from leather and/or kydex wear then do not carry that gun or do not carry at all; your head is in the wrong place for it.Thanks for looking, Big Mike. If you are purchasing a holster, please make sure you have a proper gun belt. All holsters should be worn with a proper gun belt. Also, all holsters should be worn with the belt fully tightened, but not uncomfortable. Never wear your holster loose, or without a proper gun belt.If you have purchased a leather paddle holster and it is coming out of your pants when you draw your leather holster is either not broken in enough, your pants are too loose or both.
