Description: Rare Vintage PYREX casserole dish, 2.5qt. This design is called “Bramble” in gold leaf. This design is unique to two limited releases in 1966, one smaller green version and this larger cream version. I had to do additional research to find the name of this design because it is rarely listed. This older “opalware” ovenware is strongly resistant to thermal stress. The base of the dish and the gold design features are scuffed and there are a few scratches. The lid of the dish has very small chips on one corner of each handle which are pictured. This glass formulation is more thermal resistant and less prone to shattering than modern pyrex, this can result in chips.
