Description: This is a real-photo portrait postcard showing two young children in dressy outfits. Postcard has undivided back. Age unknown, but guessing from their clothing and the little girl's ringlet curls, I would say early 1900's. Original. The dark areas (background, boys suit) have a shiny reflective quality. See second picture. Not sure what process was used. Tintype? Daguerreotype? There is a smudge mark in the lower part of the front of the card, also visible in second photo. Some minor edge wear due to age and previous storage. On the back, someone has written a pencil number, and there is a business stamp that reads "Brownworth's Studio, Midvale & Ridge Aves. Phila". Never posed. Thanks for looking! Many of our items come from sources such as estate sales.
