The cap to the battery compartment is tethered, ensuring you won't lose the cap during battery changes in high-stress situations. At the request of industry professionals, the ROMEO4XT-PRO's power and illumination control was moved from the left side to the 12 o'clock position - this was done to make the optic ambidextrous, and reduces the chance of snagging on plate carriers or chest rigs when the host rifle is in the slung position. The ROMEO4XT-PRO has also been optimized for use with night vision devices. This is evident in the optic's dedicated night vision override switch for instant transition to a night vision compatible brightness, as well as Sig's exclusive D.A.R.C.
