Description: Welcome to Antique Poster ShopThe poster is one of the most lively and, at the same time, the most complex areas in graphic design, in art. The Soviet poster is a truly unique phenomenon, and in different years the authors of famous posters were outstanding Soviet artists, leading people of their time. The best artists of their time worked on propaganda posters, famous poets wrote slogans - thus, unique graphic schools were formed. Nowhere in the world did they teach the poster purposefully and systematically, as it was in the USSR.Rare Soviet posters today have to be searched for in different countries of the world. It's a paradox, but what was created in only a few copies and is known only to collectors is sometimes easier to find than what was produced in thousands of copies. Of the millions of campaign posters that have adorned the streets, classrooms, classrooms and hospital corridors for many decades, only a few have survived.Posters of the Soviet era are not only original works of graphic art, antiques and antique graphics, original retro gifts and interior items, but also truly historical documents. SIZE – 36 / 24 INCHES OR 90 / 60 CENTIMETERS PUBLISHED BY "POLITIZDAT UKRAINE", Kyiv SLOGAN : IN THE BATTLES FROM THE VILLAIN HORDE, YOUR ONE SHINED - YOU BECAME THE FIRST GUARDS, MY HUNDRED DIVISION! Original Soviet Silk Screen Printed Art Poster. Silk screen printed posters were issued in a highly limited editions up to 100 exemplars, almost handmade, that's why they are really hard to find collectable artworks nowadays.SILKSCREEN PRINTING: It got its name "silkscreen" in 1907 when Simon of Manchester patented a process for screen printing through silk fabric, which guaranteed higher tensile strength, greater dimensional stability and the use of rubber rollers (hereinafter rubber squeegees) for ink application. The invention was cataloged under the name SILK SCREEN PRINTING. It is believed that this printing method originated in ancient times, but screen printing acquired its modern look in the middle of the 19th century. One of the features of silk-screen printing is the ability to obtain a thick ink layer with a thickness of 8-10 microns to 1000 microns and more (for offset printing, the thickness of the ink layer is 1-2 microns) with high hiding power and color saturation. You can also use special effects - glitters (sequins), volumetric printing, imitation when printing velvet or rubber. In the past century, silk-screen printing has gained significant distribution and use not only as a method of making copies in applied art, industrial design, when creating facsimile reproductions or in the field of large printing, but also as one of the self-sufficient types of author's printed graphics - printmaking with a pronounced style and the possibilities of expressing the author's plastic language. Today silk-screen printing is used by many artists of different currents, in various forms (graphics, painting, sculpture) and genres of fine art. Typically, the application of silk-screen printing in art is called serigraphy. The artwork is created by Lyaschuk Timofey Anatolevich (1930 - 2015) Highly famous Ukrainian painter, graphic and poster artist, member of the Union of Artists of Ukrainian SSR.
