Description: Vintage Signed Original Oil Painting After Max Streckenbach Subject is Red Poppies and Blue Delphinium Flowers Bouquet in Yellow Vase Still Life Preowned vintage item. It measures approximately 24” H x 18” W It is painted on paper canvas mounted on cardboard. Signed by artist in lower right corner. Signature is very faint and I have been unable to confirm the artist’s identity. It looks like it might read “Marie Butcher” or “Marie Dutcher.” SEE PICS Beautiful subject, no doubt inspired by famous paintings by German painter Max Theodor Streckenbach (1863 - 1936) whose works most often featured colorful flower bouquets, especially poppies. Age of this piece cannot be confirmed, but the back side has a tag indicating the board is a “No. 710 CANVASETTE from Bienfang Paper Co. Metuchen NJ USA. Estimating mid to late 20th century. Comes from a clean, dry, smoke free environment. No fading. No damage or wear to the image is observed. There are a couple of small paint loss chips on very edge - where it was previously mounted in a frame. Not visible when framed and not noticeable otherwise unless looking for it.
