SWARM of 35 Thrip Insects with 10 Beetles in Large Burmite Amber Fossil Gemstone

Description: This is a large, 5.1 gram, fully polished, cabochon shaped piece of Burmite (Burmese) amber that contains a very rare swarm of over 35 Thrip insects along with a group of 10 beetles. There are also flies and wasps in this fossil, all from the Cretaceous Period. These insects would have been on the Earth at the time of the dinosaurs including T-Rex and Triceratops! The piece itself weighs 5.1 grams with approximate dimensions of 4 cm length by 2 cm width and 0.8 cm height. NOTE: 2.54 cm is 1 inch. Please see my feedback. Burmite (Burmese) amber is difficult to acquire and has been dated to be Cretaceous in age (around 100 million years old) and would have been sticky tree resin during the time of the dinosaurs and is being mined in the Hukawng Valley in Myanmar (Burma). Please note that the saltwater test to identify real from fake amber is not reliable. The saltwater test claims that real amber will float in saltwater while fake amber will sink. However, many amber sources or even specimens will not float in saltwater as their botanical (plant) composition as well as fossil inclusions are such that they are more dense than saltwater and so sink.
