THE BEATLES A HARD DAY'S NIGHT 1964 EARLY PRESS MONO LP PMC 1230 XEX 481-3N FAIR

Description: Offered for sale is a 12" vinyl LP of 'A Hard Day's Night', the third album by The Beatles. The catalogue number is PMC 1230. This is a very early press of the mono version, with the 'Sold in the UK' text on the labels. It also has "The Parlophone Co Ltd. All rights of the manufacturer and of he owner of the recording work reserved. Unauthorised public performance broadcasting and copying of this record prohibited" text in capitals around the rim of the labels. It comes complete with its original inner sleeve. The sleeve is the original one from this time, printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Please note this is being sold as in fair condition to collection filler. The vinyl itself is ok and plays through with no skips or jumps. But it has a lot of surface scuffs and a lot of surface scratches - I have tried to show the worst of these in the pictures. There are a lot of spindle marks to both labels, though they do not have any handwriting or stickers anywhere. The picture sleeve is in reasonable condition. It is worn but complete - though please note there is a split along the top edge. It is roughly between the two Es in 'BEATLES' on the front cover - please see the pictures. It has some age-related staining along the opening edge, which is more visible on the rear. But there is no handwriting anywhere and there is no sellotape either. The record comes with its original 'Use Emitex' inner sleeve. This is all in one piece but is in poor condition overall too. It has been reinforced on all edges with sellotape. But there is no handwriting anywhere. Overall this is a fair to good record in a fair sleeve. If you are after a playable early example of this classic record then this one might be for you - but please note it is being sold as a collection filler owing to its overall condition.
