Description: TOOTS SHOR VINTAGE RESTAURANT NEW YORK CITY CERAMIC ASHTRAY CIRCA 1950 THIS WONDERFUL ASHTRAY MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 4” SQUARE AND 1-1/4” THICK. THERE ARE (4) CIGARETTE RESTS ON THIS PIECE. THE ASHTRAY IS A BEAUTIFUL BURGUNDY GLAZE WITH STRONG WHITE GRAPHICS. THE GRAPHICS APPEAR AS FOLLOWS; “TOOTS SHOR” IS ON THE FRONT SIDE. THERE IS AN INTERLOCKING “TS IN A SQUARE” IN THE CENTER OF THE PIECE. ON REVERSE THERE IS A “TRIPLE C LOGO”, ALONG WITH THE WORDS; “CONTEMPORARY CERAMICS CHATHAM, NJ”. THE ASHTRAY IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS. CRACKS, OR CRAZING OF ANY KIND (SEE PICS). TOOTS SHOR WAS LOCATED AT 51 WEST 51st. STREET IN NEW YORK CITY. IT WAS OPENED FROM 1940 TO 1971.
