Description: Up for sale is a lovely pottery spoon painted with a butterfly motif on red clay. It is signed: Popovi, with a cornstalk beside the signature. I am quite sure this is NOT Popovi Da. I could not find any other pieces online, or in my reference books, with that signature. His standard signature is Popovi Da, no cornstalk next to his name. I can only assume this is the work of some other potter, possibly named after Da. It IS a good piece, but please do not buy it thinking it's a gold mine. It isn't. Condition is very good. No chips or cracks, with only light wear. Length is just shy of 4 inches. At its widest point it's 2 inches. Please view all posted photos.
