Description: Vintage "BRUIN BOYS'' Shooting Gallery Spear's Games JW Spear & Sons 1930's ENGLAND. Die-cut shooting game with original steel pistol gun. Heavy card shooting gallery game with die-cuts of Bobby Bruin, Tiger Tim and Jacko Monkey from The Rainbow Comic. A note from Mrs. Bruin is typed on the underside of the lid. Bruin Boys were created by artist Julius Stafford Baker for the Daily Mirror newspaper's comics section, in the comic "The Rainbow". Made by "SPEAR'S GAMES" with J. W. Spear & Sons in England in 1930's. This is a smaller (shorter) version with 3 characters. Very rare and highly sought after. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.
